Meet Joblet:
App concept design
For Joblet, an app designed to help people and students with little to no experience navigate the job market, I worked on creating initial design concepts to visualize the app’s user interface. My role was to interpret the app creator’s rough ideas into tangible design mockups, focusing on accessibility and ease of use for the target audience.
I worked closely with the app creator to discuss their vision for the app, which aimed to simplify job search for users with minimal experience. The creator provided a general idea of the app’s layout and aesthetic, and I translated these rough ideas into cohesive design concepts.
I then designed seven key app pages, including home, search, settings, login, and sign-up pages, as well as additional features like an avatar maker and portfolio page. I utilized Figma to create initial mockups, providing a clear visualization of the app’s functionality and structure.
I focused on creating a simple, intuitive interface with easy navigation, catering to the target audience of students and individuals with little to no professional experience. The design prioritized clarity, functionality, and accessibility to ensure the app was approachable for all users.
I then developed a basic color scheme and visual direction to align with the app’s goal of being professional yet approachable. The aesthetic choices reflected the simplicity and user-friendliness the app aimed to convey, ensuring a cohesive design experience.
This project gave me the opportunity to take a rough concept and transform it into functional, user-friendly design mockups. Through collaboration and iteration, I was able to produce a solid foundation for the app’s development while keeping the design simple and intuitive for its target audience.
